Kokumon "Pasta" Plate

I love this quadrangular "pasta" plate from Akutsu Masato. It's absolutely perfect for presenting a shared pasta plate. Of course, like any Japanese pottery, just because it has a suggested use doesn't mean you can't find your own. It would also be a beautiful plate for a composed salad, a platter for little hors d'ouevres, or spectacular for presenting a little yakisoba or a plate of shio-yaki, salt-grilled fish.
